The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the morning hours 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
