Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
