The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
