Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HaMeem. 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know: 3 A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not. 4 And they say: Our hearts are under coverings from that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and a veil hangs between us and you, so work, we too are working. 5 Say thou: I am only a human being like unto you; only it is revealed unto me that your God is but One God, wherefore take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe be unto the associators. 6 Who do not give a due share of their wealth for the welfare of others, and do not believe in the Hereafter. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
