And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. 36 and they bar them from the Way, though they themselves think that they are guided. 37 But when he comes to Us, he will say (to his satan): “Would that there had been between me and you the distance as between the East and the West. How evil a companion you were!” 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 Then will you make the deaf hear, [O Muhammad], or guide the blind or he who is in clear error? 40 And if We take thee away, We shall surely take vengeance on them. 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 So hold you (O Muhammad SAW) fast to that which is inspired in you. Verily, you are on a Straight Path. 43 The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account. 44 Ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you, "Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent One?" 45
