Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
