(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 They also have a sin against me, and I fear they will slay me.' 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
