Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
