And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
