The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 They sat by it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
