Al-Naml 6 of 7
The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty! 69 Do not be sorry for them, nor be distressed for what they devise. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say: "Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, may be close behind you. 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 But, verily, thy Sustainer knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they bring into the open: 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
