The Thamud (also) rejected (their) Warners. 23 They said: 'Are we to follow a mortal who is one of us? Then indeed, we would surely be in error and insane. 24 Out of all of us has the Reminder been given to him alone? Rather, he is indeed an arrogant liar' 25 Tomorrow they will come to know, who is the liar, the insolent one! 26 Lo! We are sending the she-camel as a test for them; so watch them and have patience; 27 Tell them that each one of them has the right to have a certain share of water". 28 But they called their comrade and he took (a sword) and killed (her). 29 How (great) was then My punishment and My warning! 30 We sent a single blast against them, and they were reduced to husks of a decayed fence. 31 And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? 32 The nation of Lot belied Our warnings. 33 Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn 34 As a favour from Us. That is how We reward the grateful. 35 And indeed he had warned them of Our seizure – in response they doubted the warnings. 36 And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, but We blinded their eyes. (They heard:) "Now taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." 37 And assuredly there met them early in the morning a torment settled. 38 "Taste My punishment now that you have scorned My warnings!" 39 We have made the Koran an easy Remembrance, is there any that will remember! 40

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
