Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
