The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and gently take it away; 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
