The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
