[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 And He it is Who multiplied you in the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered. 79 And He it is Who giveth life and causeth death, and His is the difference of night and day. Have ye then no sense? 80 Nay, but they said the like of what the ancients said. 81 They say: "When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be raised to life again? 82 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples." 83 Say: 'Whose is the earth, and whoso is in it, if you have knowledge?' 84 They will say, God's.' Say: 'Will you not then remember?' 85 Ask them: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?" 87 Ask them: "Say, if you indeed know, to whom belongs the dominion over all things; (Who is it) that grants asylum, but against Whom no asylum is available?" 88 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: how then are ye turned away? 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 God has not taken to Himself a son, nor is there any other deity besides Him; otherwise, each god would have walked away with what he had created. They would surely have tried to overcome one another. Glory be to God, above all that they ascribe to Him. 91 He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him! 92
