Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
