And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This is an advice; and indeed for the pious is an excellent abode. 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 Their leaders will be told, "This band will also be thrown headlong with you into hell." Their leaders will exclaim, "May condemnation fall upon them! Let them suffer the torment of fire". 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
