We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Trumpet was blown; “This is the Day of the promised punishment.” 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." 29
