The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except the Lord of the Universe. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
