The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
