Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
