WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 From the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every one of them hope to enter [by this means] a garden of bliss? 38 By no means! verily We! We have created them from that which they know. 39 No, I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We have the ability 40 To replace them by those better than them; and none can escape from Us. 41 Wherefore let thou them alone plunging in vanity and sporting until they meet their Day which they are promised. 42 the Day when they rush out of their graves as if racing towards a signpost, 43 Eyes lowered, shame attending. That is the day they have been promised! 44
