Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
