Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
