And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! make this city secure, and save me and my sons from worshipping idols: 35 "O my Lord! they have indeed led astray many among mankind; He then who follows my (ways) is of me, and he that disobeys me,- but Thou art indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. 36 O Lord! I have settled some of my offspring in an uncultivable valley near Your Sacred House, Lord, so that they might establish their prayers. So, make people's hearts incline towards them and provide them with fruits so that they may be grateful. 37 Our Lord! verily Thou knowest that which We conceal and that which We make known; and not of aught is concealed from Allah in the earth or in the heaven. 38 All praise be to God who bestowed on me Ishmael and Isaac in old age. Verily my Lord listens to prayer. 39 My Lord, make me and my descendants establishers of prayer. Our Lord, accept my prayer. 40 Our Lord! forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day whereon will be set up the reckoning. 41
