The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
