The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
