Joseph (Yousuf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Ra'. These are the verses of a Book that clearly expounds the truth. 1 We have sent it down as a clear discourse that you may understand. 2 In revealing this Quran to you, We tell you the best of the stories of which you were unaware. 3 (Remember) when Yusuf (Joseph) said to his father: "O my father! Verily, I saw (in a dream) eleven stars and the sun and the moon, I saw them prostrating themselves to me." 4 He said, 'O my son, relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they devise against thee some guile. Surely Satan is to man a manifest enemy. 5 so your Lord will choose you and teach you the interpretation of visions, and perfect His Favor upon you and upon the House of Jacob, as He perfected it on your fathers Abraham and Isaac before you. Your Lord is Knowing, Wise. 6
