The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
