The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 has created man, 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
