The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 In shade long-extended, 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 and raised couches 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
