Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
