The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
