The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 and casts out all that is within and voids itself, 4 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 5 O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him. 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 But as for he who is given his record behind his back, 10 Will pray for death, 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 He lived rejoicing among his people, 13 Verily he imagined that he would not be back. 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 So by oath of the late evening’s light. 16 And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness; 17 and the moon when it grows full, 18 That you will climb from stage to stage. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 Nay, but they who are bent on denying the truth give the lie [to this divine writ]! 22 And Allah knows best what they hide, 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 except the righteously striving believers, who will receive a never-ending reward. 25
Almighty God's Truth.
