Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
