O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). 20 Do not be like those who said that they have heard (the Messenger's commands) but do not pay any attention to them. 21 ۞ Verily the vilest of beasts with Allah are the deaf and dumb who understand not. 22 Had Allah known of any good in them He would have made them hear, but had He made them hear they would have turned away, averse. 23 O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 And fear the turmoil which will certainly not fall only upon a few selected unjust people among you; and know that Allah’s punishment is severe. 25 Remember, when you were few and powerless in the land, afraid of despoliation at the hands of men. But then God sheltered and helped you to strength, and provided for you good things that you may perhaps be grateful. 26 Believers, do not be dishonest to God and the Messengers or knowingly abuse your trust. 27 And know that your possessions and your children are a test, and that with Allah is immense reward. 28
