T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
