The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
