Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
