The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He created the human being 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
