The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
