3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
