Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
