Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
