By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
