Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
