Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
