The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
