The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
